Heather E.K. Stone, DVM

picture of Dr. Heather Stone As a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, her areas of focus are veterinary services and stable management at Shamrock Stables, in addition to being the owner/ operator. Dr. Stone is involved with various organizations, including the American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the PA Harness Racing Commission. Completing many hours of continuing education, she has participated in specific programs such as the FEI Veterinary Course for Veterinary Delegates with Olympic Veterinarians Dr. Kent Allen and Dr. Catherine Kohn, as well as the Purina Mills Equine Veterinary Conference on Sports Nutrition and Medicine. Achieving certification at Level II Hunt Seat, from the American Riding Instructor Certification Program, she serves as a test administrator and representative for the organization. Kristin Faith Stein

picture of Kristin Stein Ms. Stein spent years in Germany as an apprentice trainer with International level Grand Prix dressage trainers. Specifically, she worked with Claus Meiners-Pilz at Arte Ecuestre in Coesfeld, Germany and with Herman Haane at Herman Haane Reitanlage in Essen, Germany. The latter is the previous owner/trainer to Rembrandt & Walzerkoenig. She also had the opportunity to train under Raphael Soto from the Spanish Riding School in Jurez, Spain, also with Jose Ignacia Moreno Herreros from the Real Maestranza de Cabelleria in Ronda, Spain. As Head Trainer and Coach for Shamrock Stables, Ms. Stein is accepting training/ sales horses with an emphasis toward advanced dressage levels, however instruction for inexperienced horses and dressage riders is offered based on availability. She is certified in Dressage and Stable Management with the American Riding Instructors Association. Additionally, she is coaching the Washington & Jefferson equestrian team. Kari Wurtzbacher

picture of Kari Wurtzbacher With over a decade of experience working in riding/showing stables, Ms. Wurtzbacher has excelled at multiple aspects of the equine industry. Her endeavors have included supervisor/ counselor for summer riding camps, supervisor/ guide for trail rides, Beginner Hunt Seat Instructor, and an A Circuit groom in KY, OH, D.C. and PA. She holds a BS Degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor. Other programs she has participated include, Ride With Pride sponsored by Easter Seals, F.I.S.H Customer Service, and Equine "Clicker" Behavioral Training.
